I’m Sabah!

I am a Bangladeshi-American yoga teacher. I started practicing yoga in 2017 when seeking relief from back pain. I soon developed a regular at-home practice that helped relieve my pain and stress, improve my confidence, and cultivate peace and purpose in my life. Years later, I began my first formal training, seeking to deepen my understanding of the yoga tradition.

My greatest interest is in accessible, therapeutic yoga. We all deserve a practice that carries us through good and hard times, deeply nourishes us, and empowers us to live life with intention, presence, and joy.

I am based in New Jersey, where I live with my husband and two cats. When I am not practicing or teaching yoga, I enjoy taking nature walks, singing in my local choir, and cooking hearty meals for family and friends.

What I Value

Connection

A key concept in yoga philosophy is that all living beings are interconnected. I believe that positive connections with yourself, with community, and with nature are vital to a healthy and joyful life.

Accessibility

Yoga is a path, a way of living - it is welcome to anyone who seeks it. Regardless of your experience with yoga, your fitness level, or your cultural or religious background, yoga is available to you.

Integrity

Proper education clarifies what yoga is truly about and from where it originated. When yogic teachings are given due credit, we maintain respect and integrity in yoga practice.

My Mission

My mission is to make therapeutic yoga accessible to underserved communities.
